On Monday night I entered four prints into our local Camera Club competition. The theme was 'street' and the only prize was the respect and admiration of the fellow members. The judge was a local artist. I didn't win. I came second with a 'highly commendable'. That'll do for me

My entries:

When the judge started to give her appraisal the first picture she went to was one of mine. During her talk she repeatedly went back to two other shots of mine. The field was narrowed down to three prints which included one of the two of mine that had been mentioned again and again. Summing up the final three my pic was left until last, which I took to be a good sign. Then, right at the end, the judge chose one of the other entries as the eventual winner.
Afterwards at coffee time, I watched as the judge returned to my print again and again to make further comment and discuss it with the other members. Questions were aimed in my direction too. Was she having second thoughts? Who knows

Thanks for all :
But you don't think that a print is very expansive ?

And I prefer it's a mistake, because I really think the prints are more expansive on DA…

A bend in the road, is not the end of the road... unless you fail to make the turn.
